How the website preview handles incident report drafts.

This website preview

This notice describes the reporting preview in this codebase. It does not describe NC4’s operational case-management systems. Use test information while reviewing the forms.

Incident report drafts

Form entries are held in page memory and are not saved to browser storage. Completing the preview sends report text and selected file names to a validation endpoint. The endpoint does not persist, log or forward the report contents.

Evidence file contents remain on your device. A downloaded JSON draft is saved by your browser to your device; you are responsible for where you keep or share it. Leaving or reloading the form clears the in-memory entries.

Hosting and service logs

The web server or hosting platform may record routine request metadata, such as timestamps, paths and network information. Hosting-specific retention and access arrangements must be confirmed before public launch.

Before live reporting starts

The live service will need a published privacy notice identifying the responsible controller, purposes and lawful basis, recipients, retention arrangements and how people can exercise their rights. Report delivery is currently unconfigured.
